Afterwards, Kat was kidnapped by the Antiparanormal League (APL) and nearly died. Jayce couldn't find her in time, and so another shifter saved her life by turning her into a shifter (Primal Possession). Since then, Jayce has been trying to contact Kat, but she has spurned him. And she has been living apart from her new pack, trying to recover from her ordeal.

But even though those who kidnapped Kat are dead, the APL is still active. And Kat is determined to see the man in charge pay for his crimes. Jayce is just as determined to protect her from danger. Because he knows that what he feels for Kat is more than passion. It's the mating instinct…

My thoughts:

Jayce is everything you love in a dark, alpha hero. He's dominant, protective, powerful, scary, deadly, and dead sexy. Yowza!

Kat is a victim who has nightmares about what was done to her. But she's not whiny about it and is a strong woman. She's determined to learn self-defense, and more. She wants to kick some butt.

The love story is poignant. You'll feel the heartbreak on both sides, and long for the two lovers to reconcile. The sexual tension is as tight as a bowstring.

Murder, mystery, suspense, and mortal danger pack this page-turner. This is a book that will keep you up late into the night reading "just one more chapter." I speak from experience.
